My package disapeared?
I sent a box to Brazil by USPS on Dec/30/09 the history they said on USPS tracking: Label/Receipt Number: CPXXXXXXXXXU S Class: Priority Mail International Parcels Service(s): International Parcels Status: International Dispatch Your item left the United States from ISC MIAMI FL (USPS) at 7:10 AM on January 2, 2010. No further information is available for this item. Detailed Results: International Dispatch, January 02, 2010, 7:10 am, ISC MIAMI FL (USPS) Arrival Acceptance, December 30, 2009, 6:59 pm, POMPANO BEACH, FL 33065 But I did a Investigation on my country Gov post office,they sent a report to on 3 days saying; didn't receive or found out any package with this tracking number in there Country. I called USPS a lot of time,they made I hold until Jan/22 to start a Investigation,and told me I have to wait more 24 days(after report) to give me a response.Until now (02/02/10) I have any information from their.I paid for insurance,and they told me after answer,if don't find the parcel,I have to wait more 45 days to get a refund.count with me(23+24+45 days)total =92 days(3 months) to hold. It's too much time!why they ask to pay a insurance?why delay to answer?I don't trust on that any more.It' was gift to my granddaughter,she is very opset with.I sold a lot of stuffs on my home to buy that to her(a laptop) because ,I promise to her if she get good score at school,and she did.Now look like I lied to her ,because It's never came.Sobody can tell me what I have to do? Send a report to Tallahasse ? I will Thank if,have a response

Once the package leaves the US, USPS is unable to effectively track the package. Your best bet is to have the recipient call their local post office in Brazil to see if they received package there. Make sure he/she has the tracking number. If the local post office in Brazil does not have the package, have him/her ask for the phone number for the customs office in Brazil. Oftentimes packages are delayed by customs. Good luck!
