I want to sen a laptop computer to Brazil that I buy in the US. Will there be any problems with this?
I have a friend in Brazil that I would like to give a laptop to. What do I need to buy so that he will be able to use it in his country. I will be buying the laptop in the US.

i would imagine that only a converter for the powercord would be the only thing that is needed so he can plug it in to his outlets (if they are different)

They have the same power system(outlets) as us.Make sure you purchase insurance on it at the post office and signature confirmation when delivered. You should be ok

For the last 5 years I have been shipping computers and things to my wife in Brazil...(i live in brazil now)...Honestly, I was surprised that every package I sent made it to her. The post office in Brazil is very professional...she was not home half the time...the postman left a slip at the house and gave her instructions what time and which post office to pick up her box...she had 3 days to claim it. Be advised....the person who picks up the laptop WILL HAVE TO PAY TAX on it....no way around that. My wife paid around 5% tax on the laptops and electronics I sent. The post office determines the price on the receipt that you will send....if no receipt.. they do somehow find a way to come up with an accurate price of the item. Contact me at my site below
